Figure 2: Acidity-suppressed Mn²⁺ influx triggered by extracellular Ca²⁺. bEND.3 cells were bathed in Ca²⁺-free solution of different pH, treated with 1 mM Mn²⁺, followed by the addition of water or 3 mM Ca²⁺. At pH 7.4, significant differences (P < 0.05) between the control and CaCl₂ groups began after 462 s. Results are mean ± SEM, each group had 40-50 cells obtained from three to five separate experiments. SEM: Standard error of the mean.
